I’m back with another shout-out to one of my awesome Team in Training Auction donors: DBelt. I was part of the Girls Gone Sporty Gear Girls Review of the DBelt and when I reached out to them, they happily donated a belt for the auction and one for a giveaway!
DBelt is a four-inch wide, cotton-spandex belt with a velcro attachment designed to allow active women to carry their stuff with them without feeling weighed down. It has two zippered pockets – one with a headphone portal that I used to carry my iPhone, and a smaller pocket that can be used to hold a GU, your keys or your lip gloss.
Lip gloss on a run? Here’s the beauty of the DBelt, it’s functional for sport and non-sport activities! When I tested the DBelt out, I tried it on a run, during a bike ride and out in Old Town and it worked for all of these occasions!
The first thing I noticed is that the DBelt did not move much during my run. I had to readjust it a couple of times, but overall it bounced around less than any other belt I’ve used. While I liked the DBelt for short runs, I had some problems with overheating during my long run. While it has a spandex component, it’s primarily made out of cotton, which isn’t the best for a 3+ hour workout.
I do love it on short runs, especially now that the weather is cooling down. Just yesterday I headed out on a 5K run and halfway through the run as my phone (which I had just shoved into my sports bra) started bouncing around, I thought where is my DBelt!
My favorite sports uses for the DBelt are during my indoor cycling sessions on the trainer, and during my strength training and stretching routines. I use the PEAR Sports App to do these workouts, so I need my phone and headphones to hear what the coaches are saying. Unless I’m wearing triathlon shorts, I always struggle to find a place for my phone. While my sports bra is a decent option on the run, it just doesn’t work for a downward dog! With the DBelt I am able move through my strength training and stretching routines without even thinking about my phone.
The DBelt is also great for non-workout settings. While I was reviewing the DBelt for the Gear Girls Review I wore it out under my shirt to meet a friend. A place for my keys, cards and phone and I didn’t need to carry a purse. That made me think about how useful the DBelt would be when traveling abroad! It’s the perfect safe, hidden, comfortable way to carry your valuables when traveling.

I always want to be hands free when I run of course but also anytime I’m out on any outings or activities with my 5 year old son.
Love all of the storage this has- I always bring my phone with me when I run and could always use a new way to hold it! Love that this is black too!
It seems pretty cool. It would be great just for dealing with a 3 year old and 2 month old, especially when one of them is up in a carrier.
This looks cool! I love how discreet it is
I would love this for running. But even when I’m not running, I’m not into purses. I would love going “free” to places where I’m chasing around my kids – like to playground, or crowded areas – like the farmers market.
Running and doing housework
When I am running
When I’m running and when I’m at festivals. Lugging around a big purse is no fun!
Seriously all the time. I smush my phone & wallet into my pockets.
When I am active such as a lot of walking, running, and hiking. Sometimes when I go shopping.
This would be great for fairs, amusement parks etc when you’ve got stuff to cart around but don’t want to deal with a purse! (and workouts, of course)
